Hey, Beatles fans! When I found this image on Redkid, I couldn't resist some shameless promoting! Check out www.thecavernbeat.com for the scoop on my brother's band -- they play gigs all over the Chicago area and beyond. They'll be playing in the Cavern Club in Liverpool not only during Beatleweek, but some additional paid dates as well. With so many groups paying for the privilege of appearing at the Cavern Club, you have to be pretty good indeed to get hired and paid by the Club.

Will Cavern Beat be hitting Chicago anytime soon? Do they ever play at Beatlefest?
They'll be in England through the end of August -- nothing up on their website yet about September gigs. They've been the live entertainment for the Beatles Brunch at Dick's Last Resort every Sunday for a long time; when Dick's moves to Marina Towers later this year, I expect they'll be back on the schedule there.
