Here's proof that I'm into life-long learning: it took me 5 schools and 23 years to finish my bachelor's degree (interrupted for, among other things, several years of staying at home with children, an education in and of itself!)
Then I bulldozed through my Master's in two years of evening classes, so I could study during the day while the kids were in school.
Now, should I go for a PhD? At the rate I've been going, how long will it take me to earn it? And what if I don't finish until I'm 80 or 90?
But as one academic advisor said, "You'll be that old whether you get the degree or not, so why not go for it?"
Maybe that's the incentive that'll keep me going...

Wow, that's impressive! My sister just finished her master's with two kids at home and working part-time. I'm awed by that ability to multi-task. I say "Go for the PhD, if it's something you love!"
And welcome to ELL!
