New tricks (Things #5 & #6)

Someone couldn't read my blog without his glasses, so I figured out how to make the font bigger. And I learned how to make a hotlink to a website from within a post.

So I started playing with my Google Reader. First I added a bunch of subscriptions I found via the Google Reader "Add Subscription" search box, and then organized them in folders. But I still don't know how to get updates from websites that don't have feeds. Maybe that will come in a later lesson.

Here's a link http://www.hmml.org/ to an intersting website -- modern-day monks using microfilm and digital photography to preserve images of the priceless manuscripts found in obscure monastic libraries, before natural disaster or war can destroy them.

What an interesting website (HMML)! Thanks for sharing it with us.

As far as I know, it's not possible to get updates from websites that don't have RSS feeds. At least not using a newsreader. This is why many more websites are using blogs and RSS feeds on their sites -- because more and more people are using this technology and requesting it (demanding it!) from websites.
