Thing #10

Social networking. Hmm. Didn't at least one of these tools used to be just for college kids? I have occasionally seen my daughter's myspace page -- I guess I'm too old-fashioned to find that appealing. However I did sign up for LinkedIn, but didn't find any people I knew from any of the schools I attended. Since I'm more interested in connecting with other catalogers and librarians (and genealogists and singers of Renaissance polyphony!) I thought LinkedIn was better suited to my interests than Myspace or Facebook -- and I found my computer froze when trying to do things with either of them. Maybe there are too many people there already!
